My first sewing project. I'm so proud! I must be the luckiest girl to have a boyfriend who can teach you how to sew! Well, here is how it went....minus the numerous mistakes that I encountered....we won't mention those. I was just learning. This is mainly a blog about how to cut material with a Cricut. The sewing was fun but believe me you don't want an up close look at it.

Thank you
Well here is an idea for all of you teachers out there. And anyone else that likes to be prepared for gifts. I wanted to make some thank you cards that were simple. The idea came to me because I'm always trying to quickly make up a thank you note to a sweet child. Teaching Kindergarten you never know what they will bring you! So, I wanted to have Thank you cards on hand. These are very simple and really easy to make! I knew if I started making them fancy, I would never get very many done. Some of them I left the flower blank so I could make it for any occasion. I am so excited that I got these done! This was thanks to a friend who had some girls over for a craft night! THANK YOU RACHEL!

More of Necia's Decor
GIRLS ...GIRLS...
Yes there are two of us in this place. I can't imagine families with more. We take up so much space. We have so many special items that need a special place. One of those things is JEWELERY! Where do you put all of that wonderful stuff! Well, my daughter found this great little hanger at Hobby Lobby. It was wooden with metal hooks. Perfect !!! We spray painted it black and Mod Podged glitter paper on it. How cute ! I'm sure this will be pretty full after we get done with it. Maybe we should have gotten two! Oh-well! I have to say my Mod Podge ability is getting better. I just love that stuff!
Spray paint...not really a good idea to do this on a humid day. But it turned out ok. I mean when is it NOT humid!
Yes, I know this picture is sideways. I did everything exactly like I always do and it keeps turning my picture this way. OH Well! You get the idea. This is after a coat of Mod Podge.

Random Projects
I went to a friend's house to a Home Interiors party. I am pretty sure the name has changed to something else but I'm not really sure. I did enjoy it and found a really cute little vase to buy. Perfect for my table. After getting it I went to Hobby Lobby and found some accessories to finish it off. And this is the result. It may be a little wild but I think it works. My horrible habit is only buying brown and black. I must be afraid of color. No, not really I just am always worried about it not matching. So, I thought red is bold -- go for it!

New and Improved Toothbrush Holder
I have been looking for a toothbrush holder. BUT I am a little bit picky! So, I new if I just waited long enough I would find the perfect one - OR I would think up something crafty. And that is exactly what happened! I was roaming around my favorite store when I came across a vase with an initial etched in the side. And I thought Yes! Yes! Yes! This is it!
See, the problem with most holders is the cleaning of it. Some are so hard to get to and maybe I'm just lazy but I thought this would be easy to clean and it goes with the bathroom perfectly~!
Materials:
~One Vase
~One bag of Natural colored stones
~Toothbrush

Well, this is definitely different or maybe original ~ I don't usually step out of the box like this. Being a teacher- I usually see a good idea and copy it. So, let me know if you have any suggestions. I would love it!

Pink N Black :bathroom
Well, we live in an apartment so, the decorating can be kind of a challenge. Like the blue counter top in the bathrooms. But we have tried to make it home. And we Love it! My daughter LOVES the colors Pink and Black. So, here are some things we did to give her a little spice while she spends hours getting ready!
*Shower curtain from Walmart . It's just plain black. We thought about sewing on a pink initial on the corner. But that obviously isn't done yet.
And I found these shower curtain hooks at my favorite store: Ross
There are soooo many great deals there!
This was a great find at my other favorite store: Hobby Lobby
It was just what she needed to hang her towel on. It was under $5.00 and she Loves it!
This was too cute to not buy and was on sale at Kirklands.
And a girl has to have some Pink in her life from Victoria's Secret. It really smells great!
The candle holder had the BLING which my daughter loves!! I found it at Hobby Lobby. The candle was also from there. I wanted to make the candle match the rest of the bathroom and not spend too much money. So, I bought tissue paper with the pink and black design and used the blow dryer to melt it onto the candle. In the past I have used an embossing gun but I don't have one anymore.
On Black Friday I bought a gift for myself and I'm lovin' it! I now own a Cricut Expressions! So, of course I had to starting cutting right away. So, I used this old picture frame and cut out the N and put it on gray paper and DONE! E*A*S*Y !!
Yes, another project that was a result of purchasing the Cricut! I painted a canvas black. NOTE to Self: let dry for a day before you continue. Then I used different scrapbook paper and cut out the letters from one of my daughter favorite quotes. Then I used Modge Podge and a spray glaze over it. It was my first attempt and I learned a lot. Next one will be better.
Good Better Best,
Never Let it Rest,
Till your Good is Better,
And your Better is Best!

This blank wall is awaiting something creative. There is always something to be done! Anyways, it is coming together nicely.
